PD Workshops Alongside Ghanaian Educators

20-24 Oct was a special week for the Good Future Foundation as we had the opportunity to take our AI professional development workshops outside the UK for the very first time. We truly enjoyed a great week of collaboration and learning with our partners and educators in Ghana!

Our Executive Director, Daniel, along with two Advisory Council members Laura and Thomas, travelled through Tamale, Kumasi, and Accra. They connected with educators from schools following both international and Ghana Education Service curricula to discuss the opportunities and challenges of AI, and how to deploy it responsibly for the benefit of teachers and students.

The most rewarding aspect of the week was the cross-cultural dialogue, which allowed us to listen and learn from the local perspective. We were inspired by the dedication of Ghanian educators, who, despite infrastructure challenges, are proactively exploring solutions like offline AI models to meet practical needs in the classroom.

This meaningful week of professional development wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and partnership of a remarkable team. A huge thank you to all our collaborators and hosts including the International Community School (ICS) Ghana and Savannah International Academy.
We believe this is only the start of conversations about responsible use of AI, and we look forward to seeing how the journey will unfold!
