When we were refining our mission for GFF, we wanted to ensure that we did not focus on one specific area of the UK. We believe that tech-agnostic professional development, support and guidance on AI should be as accessible as possible to educators, regardless of where they might be.
So far we've found that being in person is particularly important to our schools, and that onward training and momentum is better achieved once the school community have come together to focus on a specific theme.
On 23rd February 2026, our team travelled to Newquay and Falmouth in Cornwall to support the professional development events for Kernow Learning Trust. We were extremely encouraged to hear the following feedback their trust CEO, Clare Crowle.
At Kernow Learning, our approach to AI is grounded in a simple but powerful philosophy: Work Hard, Be Honest, Help Others. As we navigate one of the most significant shifts in the history of education, the question for us has never been whether to engage with AI -but how to do so in a way that is ethical, inclusive, and true to who we are.
Joining the Good Future Foundation felt like a natural fit from the start. In February 2026, we brought our whole Trust together for the beginning of what we're calling our Ignite phase - and honestly, it was a brilliant day. With GFF’s help, the session was designed to actively involve every member of staff, building a shared understanding of AI and creating a real culture of openness and curiosity. What struck me most was watching colleagues arrive uncertain and leave genuinely energised. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and I couldn't be prouder of how our team engaged with it.
Daniel and the GFF team were fantastic – knowledgeable, warm, and pitch-perfect in how they brought people along regardless of where they were starting from. They made something that could feel daunting feel genuinely exciting.
For me, this is about so much more than technology. It's about building a culture where every colleague feels informed, supported, and part of something meaningful - where curiosity matters more than expertise, and where AI serves the relationships and the people at the heart of our schools.
We feel genuinely supported by the Good Future Foundation, they are great partner in this work, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us next.
