Online PD Workshops on Deepfakes and Disinformation

Events

Young people today are swimming in content and not all of it is what it seems. Deepfakes, AI-generated images and disinformation are easier than ever to create and just as easy to stumble across, whether in a group chat, on a social media feed or shared casually between friends. It's not a question of if your students will encounter them, but when. And when a student comes to you with one of these concerns, you want to feel ready.

This September, Good Future Foundation is hosting two free online workshops, and we are delighted that the sessions will be delivered by our Advisory Council member, Thomas Sparrow, a correspondent and fact-checker that regularly visits schools around the world to help educators and students navigate disinformation and AI-generated content.

With KCSIE 2026 now explicitly addressing deepfakes and AI, the timing feels right.

Both sessions run 4:00 to 5:00pm, so you can join straight after school. Free to attend. Please see the flyer for dates and RSVP links.
